MDW Hi-Res Parametric EQ Version 5 FAQ

Answers to common questions here regarding the MDW Hi-Res Parametric EQ Version 5 plug-in.

Q: Is MDW EQ V5 compatible with Pro Tools 11?
A: Yes. MDW EQ V5 has been re-released as a 64/32-Bit AAX plug-in, and is compatible with both Pro Tools 10/11 on Mac, but will currently only work in Pro Tools 11 on Windows. Pro Tools 11.1 or 10.3.8 (or later) are recommended.

Q: I purchased MDW EQ V5 previously when it was only 32-bit. Will my existing V5 license work with the new version of the plug-in?
A: Yes it will. The new installers should now be available in the Your Products section of your Avid Account.

Q: Where can I purchase MDW EQ V5?
A: MDW EQ v5 is no longer available for purchase. If you already own a V5 license but in need of the installer or If you have any questions, please contact us through our support form.

Q. I have MDW EQ version 1, 2, or 3. Can I upgrade to MDW EQ V5?
A: No. Support for version 3 and prior (TDM/RTAS) has been ended (EOL).

Q: I am having trouble installing V5.0.2.19 on Mac. I ran the installer, but the plug-ins are not available in Pro Tools 11.

Q: Do I need an iLok 2 for this?
A: Yes, you do. An original iLok will not work to authorize MDW EQ V5.

Q: Will old sessions saved with previous versions of MDW EQ open properly with MDW EQ V5?
A: Yes, they will. You must be using Pro Tools 11.1 or 10.3.8 (or later), and you must have the latest iLok License Manager installed for proper compatibility with older sessions.

Q: Will I still be able to use MDW EQ V3 if I upgrade? For instance, say I have a TDM system with V3 installed. Will I be able to use the V5 iLok license to run the old version of the plug-in?
